Solana's new EVM compatible chain, $NEON, has just launched. Let's take a look at the first four days.
1. Solana: Solana opens up to Ethereum's Solidity developers.
In 2022, Solana grew to over 1,000 developers, an 83% year-on-year increase, the largest among all layer1s. In comparison, Polygon's developer count grew by 40%, Cosmos by 25%, and Polkadot by 2%.
However, compared to Ethereum's 15,000+ developers, Solana still has a strong incentive to enhance support for EVM.Links: <https://solana.com/news/solang-solana-solidity-evm>

2. Neon EVMNeon EVM released a computing environment that enables developers to write Ethereum applications on top of Solana.
However, Neon EVM is still in its early stages.The number of accounts: 2,428;
The number of tokens is 1,500;
The accumulated transactions are 20k.
3. Other EVM compatible Layer1Quoted from https://twitter.com/DefiIgnas/status/1682346422182752257
EOS EVM numbers:Daily Txs: ~400
dApps count: 6
TVL: $800k
99% of that EOS TVL is tied up in one dApp—Noah Swap.
Near's Aurora had a blast in 2022, reaching $1.28B USD in http://TVL.Fast forward to today, it sits at a modest $15.8M, with a 24-hour DEX volume of only $10k USD.
Only four dApps boast a TVL of $1M+.
Moonbeam - EVM parachain of Polkadot.TVL dropped from ATH of $274M to $43M, but DEX trading volume is ~$1M USD.
A few leading dApps like Lido, Frax, and Curve have deployed on it.
Cosmos KavaTVL dropped from $664M to $212M, but trading volumes are growing.
In summary, OKX Ventures believes that for blockchain developers, the network effect of Solidity has already taken shape.
Therefore, for alternative layer1s, compatibility with Solidity is an option with a high ROI.
