The third token I want to talk about is solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump
I’m sure quite a few of you have seen this one over the past few days. The chart has been holding up pretty well, and the narrative is also relatively unique
This post is mainly about my personal take on solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump. I think most of you already have a rough idea of how it works, so I’ll quickly recap the important parts and then focus more on what I like, what I’m still skeptical about, and how I currently see the thesis
1. Quick recap : what does solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump actually do?
Simply put, solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump is the token behind UsePaid, a protocol trying to turn memecoin creator fees into real money sent directly to accounts on X
The mechanism is pretty simple
Someone launching a token can redirect its creator fees to the UsePaid treasury and specify an X account as the recipient
Once the fees are claimed :
80% => converted into USD and paid to the recipient through X Money
20% => used to market buy solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump and burn it
So instead of launching a memecoin around Elon, Trump, or another public figure and then endlessly spamming them hoping for attention, the token can generate volume, generate creator fees, and actually send money to that person
This is the first thing I find pretty clever about the narrative
It turns something that would normally just be marketing into a loop backed by real cash flow
2. What I like most isn’t the “sending money to Elon” part
This is where I think a lot of people are looking at solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump the wrong way
Seeing Elon Musk, Trump, Sam Altman, Naval, or other big accounts in payout receipts is obviously very easy to make viral
But to me, that’s mainly the marketing side of the thesis
What’s more interesting is the flywheel behind it :
Token generates volume => creator fees => payout => attention => 20% of fees market buy & burn solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump
I actually like how they designed this
The marketing and token mechanics are basically built into the same loop
If you want a big receipt to post on X, the token needs to generate fees
Those fees create a real payout
That receipt then becomes content that can generate more attention
And at the same time, part of those fees creates direct buy pressure for solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump
That’s the part I think is actually worth researching. If this were nothing more than “we’re sending money to Elon,” I probably wouldn’t care nearly as much
3. More importantly, the mechanism is actually running
This is probably the biggest positive for me.
I’ve seen way too many tokens talk about revenue, buybacks, and burns, only for everything to remain on a roadmap.
UsePaid at least has real activity already.
According to the Analytics data I checked, the protocol had processed roughly $888K in creator fees, more than 8.7K tokens had launched through the system, around $155K had been paid out to recipients, and roughly $177K had been used to buy solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump.
Around 15M solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump had also been burned.
These numbers are constantly changing, so I don’t really care about getting them accurate down to the last dollar.
What matters to me is:
The fees are real → the payouts are real → the buyback/burn is actually happening.
That’s very different from simply drawing a nice flywheel in the docs.
One thing worth mentioning: the roughly $9.8M figure that appeared on the homepage didn’t match the Analytics data. Personally, I’d rather use the Analytics numbers than pick the biggest counter available to make the thesis look better.
4. But don’t confuse payouts with endorsements
I think this needs to be made very clear
Elon, Trump, or any other public figure receiving money does not mean they’re involved with solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump, and it definitely doesn’t mean they endorse the token
The recipient may not even know beforehand that a token is generating fees and sending money to them
So I’m not going to use :
“Elon is connected to solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump”
as part of the thesis
As of now, Elon hasn’t tweeted about, replied to, or officially endorsed UsePaid or solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump
If he eventually reacts to it, then obviously that could become a massive attention catalyst
But for now, I see that as an optional catalyst, not something I want to base the trade on
5. Nikita Bier is actually the interaction I find more interesting
Nikita actually responded to the concept
He thought the idea was pretty creative, but also raised a reasonable concern: if someone doesn’t want their identity associated with these tokens, they should have the ability to opt out or unlink themselves
I think the team’s response here was pretty reasonable
They acknowledged the feedback, agreed with Nikita’s point, and said they would add an opt-out option soon
I’m not treating that as a finished feature until I actually see it live
But at least it shows the team is taking feedback and continuing to iterate on the product instead of only spamming payout receipts for attention
For a project this new, I see that as a small positive
6. So where does solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump actually capture value?
This is probably the most important part if you want to look beyond a few candles
Holding solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump does not mean you receive a share of the protocol’s revenue
No governance
No fee discounts
And if the protocol generates $1M, that doesn’t mean solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump holders receive a portion of that $1M
The current value accrual mainly comes from :
20% of creator fees => market buy solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump => burn
So once you strip away all the hype, the solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump thesis is actually pretty easy to measure
I just want to know :
How many tokens continue using UsePaid?
How much volume and creator fees are they generating?
How much money is actually being paid out?
How much is actually flowing back into solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump buybacks and burns?
If those numbers keep growing, the thesis gets stronger
If they start slowing down, the thesis weakens
I like this because at least solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump gives us something concrete to track, rather than forcing us to rely entirely on community sentiment
7. But the bottleneck is also pretty obvious
UsePaid currently depends quite heavily on X Money
Not every account can receive X Money, and payouts aren’t always instant
There are also payout limits, processing time through Kraken/ACH, and cases where recipients simply don’t claim the money
That partly explains why creator fees can grow very quickly while the amount of USD actually paid out remains much lower
And this is something I’ll be watching closely
If UsePaid scales from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars in fees, can the payout infrastructure scale with it?
Or will fees grow much faster while the actual money gets stuck somewhere in the middle?
To me, that question is much more important than how much money they send Elon today
8. The risks I still see with solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump
First, the team is still fairly anonymous
For a protocol sitting between crypto fees => USD => third-party payouts, legal and compliance risks are definitely something I’d watch if this starts scaling significantly
Second is its dependency on X
UsePaid is not an official X/X Money product and there is no official partnership with X
If X changes its rules, eligibility requirements, or how third-party payments work, the model could be affected
Third is sustainability
Right now the concept is still fresh
Receipts showing payments to Elon, Trump, Nikita, Mike Tyson, Snoop Dogg, or other big names are easy content
But eventually that novelty will fade
That’s when the real question starts :
Will enough tokens still want to use UsePaid once the narrative is no longer new?
If yes, the flywheel becomes pretty interesting
If not, fees decline => buybacks decline => the solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump narrative weakens with them
9. What about the chart?
The chart is another reason solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump caught my attention
It had its first major expansion toward roughly $18–19M, and instead of completely dying afterward, it spent quite a while building a range below
Then it had another strong breakout toward almost $30M
What I find relatively strong is that after that move, solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump didn’t retrace all the way back into its old range and was still holding around the $20M area when I checked
That tells me the market is still willing to accept a relatively high valuation for this narrative, at least for now
But there’s another side to that :
solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump at $20M+ is not the same bet as solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump at a few million market cap
There could still be upside if the protocol keeps growing, but the margin of safety is obviously smaller
So I personally wouldn’t want to FOMO into aggressive pumps here
A decent correction would give me a much cleaner risk/reward
10. My current take
Overall, I actually like the concept behind solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump
Not because they’re sending money to Elon
And not simply because the token has a buyback/burn mechanism
What I like most is that the team found a pretty clever way to connect :
memecoins + creator fees + X Money + attention
into one flywheel
And more importantly, there is already real money moving through that flywheel
That’s what makes solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump more interesting to me than a normal memecoin narrative
But at its current market cap, I’m going to demand more from the protocol
At first, the market can price the idea
Then it can price the hype
But if it wants to sustain a higher valuation, eventually it has to price usage
So from here, I don’t really care whether the team sends another $10K or $50K to some celebrity today
What I want to watch is :
usage => fees => payouts => buyback/burn
If the initial attention cools off over the next few weeks and those numbers are still growing, I think the solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump thesis actually becomes much stronger
But if volume across tokens using UsePaid starts falling and fees begin to stagnate, I don’t see any reason to force this into a long-term hold
For now, I’m still slightly bullish on the idea, but at $20M+ I’d rather stay patient
Don’t bet on Elon definitely tweeting about it
Bet on whether the protocol can keep generating real usage and real cash flow - that’s what I’m watching with solana:98kfF7rmsg1QDUEoCqNE7g7M1FdrTt92TEp2CLzypump
